The feedback from our survey, plus the identity of our prize draw winner!

We highly value post-race feedback from our runners and volunteers, as part of our goal to ensure that every event is better than the last.

No less than 1994 runners and 117 volunteers completed our post-race surveys following Run Norwich 2022, and we are pleased to share some of the findings below.

1994 responses

• 94.6% of runners would recommend Run Norwich to a friend. 4.9% are undecided
• The overall average rating was 8.95 out of 10. 43% of our runners rated Run Norwich as a 10/10 event.
• 42% of runners ate/drank in a café/restaurant/pub or went shopping in the city following the race
• 30% of runners brought three or more supporters with them on race day
• From areas surveyed, the following were the highest rated* (% rating Excellent, Very Good, Good):
  • Run Norwich staff/volunteers (99.3%), Booking system (98.7%), Website (97.8%), Pre-Race information (97.0%), Social Media (96.4%), Medal (94.9%), Expo (89.5%)
• …and the following areas were the lowest rated (% rating Excellent, Very Good, Good) – we’ll be working to improve these next year.
  • Goody bags (57.1%), Merchandise (76.0%), Race Village (82.9%)

Volunteer survey

• 69% of volunteers were volunteering at Run Norwich for the first time
• The overall average rating was 9.03 out of 10. 48% of our volunteers rated Run Norwich as a 10/10 event.
• 17.95% of volunteers ate/drank in a café/restaurant/pub or went shopping in the city following the race
• 68% of volunteers want to take part in Run Norwich as a volunteer next year. 23% want to take part as a runner.
• 89% of volunteers would recommend being a volunteer. 9% are undecided.
• For areas surveyed, the following were the highest rated* (% rating Excellent, Very Good or Good):
  • Training (98.2%), Fellow staff/volunteers (97.4%), Pre-Race Info (96.6%), Event Organisation (92.3%)
• The following area was the lowest rated (% rating Poor or Very Poor):
  • T-shirt & perks (88.1%)

As well as grading areas of the race, we asked for your ideas and suggestions. We’ll be looking to incorporate the best of these into next year’s race (before you ask, date and entry details are yet to be revealed!).
