The Run Norwich Virtual 10k saw entries from 1,562 entries this past week.
Open to all those who had supported race organisers the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation by not requesting a refund from their Run Norwich 2020 entry, the format meant runners had a week to run (and record) a 10-kilometre run.
With runners encouraged to choose a route away from the traditional city centre course, efforts were submitted from a huge array of locations, including Kusadasi in Turkey and Isle of Arran in Scotland.

Among the runners were close to 100 #TeamCSF fundraisers running for the Community Sports Foundation, as well as those flying the flag for this year’s partner charities (Home-Start Norfolk, YMCA Norfolk, Finnbar’s Force, Mancroft Advice Project, The Hamlet Charity, Fresh Start New Beginnings, The Feed, Leeway, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, SENsational Families, Norwich & Central Norfolk Cruse and the NNUH Trust.)

Just run the virtual @runnorwich 10k through Norfolk countryside. It’s the furthest I’ve ever run in my life. Sad not have been able to do it through our fine city but one day – soon. 10k is quite a long way. Will now eat apple cake and be pleased with myself.

#RN20 My Dad ran the Run Norwich 10k today. 74 years old with diabetes, wearing a vest from a London marathon he did in 1993. I’m super proud of him! @runnorwich pic.twitter.com/nCzswEXVb7
