Run Norwich Junior entries to open next week

Entries for Run Norwich Junior 2025 will open on Thursday 27th March 2025 at 9am. Following the success of last year’s inaugural run, Run Norwich Junior will once again take place at 9:15am on Sunday 7th September prior to the main 10k, Run Norwich.

Run Norwich Junior offers children aged 7 – 15 the unique opportunity to experience the exhilarating race-day atmosphere whilst supporting the Community Sports Foundation’s vital work in the community. As a charity fun run, all participants are required to fundraise for the Foundation, helping to make a real difference to those who need it most.

The 1.52km fun run, untimed to emphasise participation and enjoyment, allows young runners to feel the excitement and accomplishment of crossing a finish line, just like the 10k participants.

Supporting the community

A minimum fundraising target of £35 per child is required when taking part in Run Norwich Junior. All funds raised will support the Community Sports Foundation’s, the race organiser, life-changing work in the region.

Recognising our amazing junior runners

All participants (adult and child alike) will receive a finisher’s medal and a souvenir item. Children will also have access to fantastic fundraising incentives to reward their efforts. From a Run Norwich Junior technical t-shirt through to Norwich City FC signed photos, pennants and match day tickets, the Community Sports Foundation recognises the effort junior runners make.

Emma Fletcher-Dungay, Head of Fundraising at the Community Sports Foundation said:

“Following the success of 2024, we are delighted to be able to bring Run Norwich Junior back. This year, following feedback, we are lowering the entry age to 7-years old.

Run Norwich Junior is a fantastic opportunity for children to be part of the excitement of Run Norwich, experiencing the incredible race day atmosphere in a fun, supportive, and non-competitive way. It’s a chance for young runners to get active, challenge themselves, and support the Community Sports Foundation’s vital initiatives across the region. We can’t wait to see the next generation of runners take to the course and be part of our momentous 10-year celebrations.”

With the main Run Norwich race selling out in a record breaking 2 hours, demand for Run Norwich Junior is expected to be high. Spaces are limited. Families are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
