Race sponsor to host cheer zone on ascent

Race sponsors Aston Shaw will be hosting a cheer zone and recording a live feed of runners on the infamous Rose Lane stretch of the course.

The 300-yard ascent, just after the half-way mark, has always divided opinion: some say it’s a minor slope, with others labelling it a ‘Mountain’.

Aston Shaw, who have an office located half-way up the slope, made it their goal to get runners up Rose Lane last year, and their cheer zone will be returning for another outing come race-day on August 5th.

It will include:

• Live Facebook feed of runners (available after the race via Aston Shaw’s website)
• A balloon arch
• DJ & music
