Anglian Home Improvements have been revealed as Run Norwich’s main sponsor for the 2023 and 2024 races.
The Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s flagship fundraising event will welcome 8,500 entrants when it returns to the city centre on Sunday 16th July.
Rachael Munby, Group Marketing Director at Anglian Home Improvements, said:
“Anglian Home Improvements are delighted to be headline sponsors for Run Norwich. As a company whose heritage began in Norwich, being able to support our community with health & wellbeing benefits and bring people together is something we are incredibly proud of.
“As a not-for-profit race, it’s humbling that all the proceeds raised from the event support the Foundation’s charitable work in our community helping to boost mental health and wellbeing across Norfolk a commitment that is akin within our organisation.”
Ian Thornton OBE, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, said:
“Support from our partners is invaluable. Run Norwich would not happen without their generosity, and especially that of our main race sponsor.
“We’re really looking forward to working with Anglian Home Improvements over the next two events. They are a nationally recognised brand, whose roots are still very much in Norwich and Norfolk.”
He continued: “With their support, we plan not only to cement Run Norwich in its place as one of the best running events in the United Kingdom, but also to ensure that the event continues to make a positive difference in the local community beyond just race day itself.”
Anglian was first established in 1966 by George Williams when he opened a factory in Norwich. Over the last few decades, Anglian has grown to become a market leader, employing almost 1,400 people, and transforming the homes of more than two million UK customers.
Voted the Best 10k in the UK by the Running Awards, the Run Norwich route passes some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Norwich Castle, The Forum, Norwich Cathedral, and many more.
The inaugural event took place in 2015, and since then tens of thousands of runners have taken to the city centre streets for the annual race, many of whom are new to running or fundraising for either the Foundation or their own chosen charity or cause.
A 24-hour priority window for charity entrants fundraising for the Community Sports Foundation will open at 9am on Tuesday 14th February, with general entry opening at 9am on Wednesday 15th February.
