Baggage Areas

We will have a secure area located in the Chapelfield Gardens Race Village to leave items, clothing and belongings on race day.

Timings

The area will be open from 8.00am till 1.00pm on race day.

Colour allocation

You will be allocated a colour on race day in accordance with your race number. Each baggage area will be colour coded for your convenience.

Baggage security

Please note that whilst the area will be staffed throughout, you will be storing your items entirely at your own risk so please don’t leave expensive valuables.

Race Numbers

Please add your personal information - including details of any current medication - to the reverse of your race number.

Colour coded

All participants will be divided into different colour categories which will define your start wave. Your estimated finish time will define which colour category you are placed in.  You may be assigned a different colour to others with similar predicted times. This is to ensure even distribution between colours.

Start waves

While you may not promote yourself, you may demote yourself should you wish to start with a friend or family member in a different category.

Race numbers not transferable

If you are unable to run, your race number must not be transferred to another runner under any circumstance. Anyone found wearing a number other than their own will be disqualified.

Medical details on reverse of race number

Please add your personal information - including details of any current medication - to the reverse of your race number.

Securing your race number to your running top

We will provide you with safety pins in your race pack. Pin each corner to attach it securely to the front of your running top so it remains fully visible at all times and doesn't flap about.  If you do not wear your race number as instructed, you may not be credited with a finish time.

Looking after your race number and timing chip

You must not cut, fold or otherwise mutilate your race number in any way. Please don't attempt to remove the chip or its foam backing from your race number for any reason as this could damage your chip and affect your result - i.e. you may not be credited with a finish time.

Timing chips

Your timing chip will be affixed to the reverse of your race number. This chip will automatically record your race time, from the time you pass the start line to the time you cross the finish line.

IMPORTANT Please take care not to fold your chip or pierce it with your safety pins when attaching it to your clothing. Please don't attempt to remove the chip or its foam backing from your race number for any reason as this could damage your chip and affect your result - i.e. you may not be credited with a finish time.

The Race Village

The Race Village is situated in Chapelfield Gardens and will be the hub of race activity for the day.

More information to follow closer to the race date.

Start/Finish

We've tweaked the position of the start line this year - runners will now start on Gentleman's Walk, in front of the market. As per last year, the grand finish will be located on St. Peters Street in front of the iconic City Hall. Perfect for those finish line photos!

Route terrain

For the most part, the course is flat, though there are a number of hills thrown in for good measure - notably around the Rose Lane part of the course. All race roads will be closed to traffic while the race is in progress.

Race markers

The course will be clearly marked at every kilometre.
